Mountain Airs

This recording comprised some remixes of my favourite tracks plus these four previously unreleased recordings.

I've had a rationalization since that lot was recorded, much water has passed under the great bridge of life and a lot of the older stuff has gone, however, the trusty R5, M1R and Wavestation remain. My old Clav finally gave up the ghost and had to be replaced and I added a Korg M3 a few years back. Also acquired a new 16 channel Soundcraft Mixer, a new Clavinova CLP-430, a Boss BR-900CD 8 track digital recorder and a BBE Sonic Maximizer. Recording is now being done using Sonar (PC based DAW) through a Roland UM-880 midi interface. I tend to use a mix of audio and midi recording, sometimes pure midi, sometimes pure audio... whatever suits really. Age has made the dexterity reduce rather but technology helps even that.

So, the latest recording 'Backwards Going Forwards' started out life years ago and is finally in 2014 coming to an end. It gives me so much pleasure to say that my old pal Ando Honeybone is back in touch and has given advice and ideas and generally given me the enthusiasm to finally get this recording done. As always I am not entirely happy with the outcome but I have done the best I can and what more can you ask of yourself?
